Requirements for entry into Israel:

- Your passport must be valid for at least six months.

- Visa requirements vary depending on your country. You can request an official invitation letter to make the visa acquiring process easier. If you want to leave from Israel to other surrounding Arab countries with the exception of Egypt and Jordan, it is advisable to request that an Isreali stamp should not be put on your passport.

- Security is very strict in Israel, so if you are planning on flying to Tel Aviv, make sure you allow for time at the airport. Searches are commonplace and most visitors are questioned before being allowed to enter.

While Tel Aviv is really hot in the summer, in November, temperatures drop to around 17 degrees, so pack clothing for moderate weather.

Places to Visit

Banana Beach

It might not be the weather for sunbathing, but Banana Beach is still well worth a visit. Despite being located near the old town of Jaffa it’s one of the quieter beaches.

If you’re into surfing then this is a great spot and there’s even a surf school if you want to try it out for the first time.

Old Jaffa

The Old City of Jaffa is made up of winding alleys which are home to a variety of shops and market stalls. To really discover the secrets of Jaffa you can take a free walking tour from the Clock Tower which begin at 11am and 2pm each day.

Jaffa Port is a great place to visit on weekends when it’s famous restaurants draw in the locals from the city.
