How to Moderate Comments on Facebook Ads

If you haven’t set up Page Moderation on your Facebook Business page then now is the time to do it. Negative comments and profanity can harm your chances of success and even get your ad account banned. Therefore, you should take proactive steps early on to ensure that you prevent people posting profanities on your pages. 

Here’s how to set up a profanity filter for your post comments

To set up a profanity filter, you’ll first need to get a .CSV file list of all of the words you want to filter. Don’t worry about making this yourself, there are loads available online. Once you have your list, then head over to your Facebook business page and go to settings:

When you’re in the general settings, scroll down to page moderation. Here you can upload your .CSV file and you’re good to go!

Facebook likes to move the goalposts, therefore you should try to keep your list up-to-date. Check Facebook’s policies every now and then to see if there are any new topics that they don’t like people to discuss and then add the keywords to your list. It’s pretty
